Animals and Echolocation

Specifically, animals such as dolphins and bats, have been studied due to their particular abilities. The common ability between the two animals is the ability to locate things through the use of sound waves. This is called echolocation. Echolocation enables dolphins, bats, and many more to locate objects in space and navigate themselves in the dark. To echolocate, bats use sound waves; when the sound waves hit an object they produce echoes, in which it bounces off the object and returns to the animal’s ears.
